PROJECTS

We work on projects across a vast array of industries and areas, including residential, commercial and public spaces. At WRW & Co we take a collaborative approach to everything we do, great or small. We love developing ideas alongside our clients to achieve results that not only meet the brief, but surpass expectation.

SAINT ALICE

St Alice is Located on the Auckland Viaduct, Saint Alice blurs the boundaries between laid-back restaurant and bar. With a sense of whimsy and a subtle maritime theme, Saint Alice is in a genre of its own. Conceived by the team who opened next-door’s wildly popular bar and brewery, Dr Rudi’s Rooftop Brew Co. (Callum O’Brien, Kristian Lloydd and Andrew Roborgh) this is an eatery that captures the essence of New Zealand hospitality.

WRW & Co designed and custom made a large number of bar leaners, benches, large and small dining tables out of solid hardwood timbers. We were delighted to work with Ctrl Space and Andrew Roborgh in furnishing this sun-soaked space where casual drinks can unfold over expansive group tables or intimate nooks.

LONG BAY SURF CLUB

WRW & Co was delighted to supply furniture into Darren Tolley and Dean Lodge’s city meets seaside eatery – Long Bay Surf Club. Working alongside designers Ctrl Space and project managers The Collaborative Group, this is an eatery that combines inner-city dining with relaxed beach vibes.Long Bay Surf Club masters the atmosphere of both a laid-back bar and elevated eatery.

We designed and supplied a large number of dining tables, bar leaners and benches which were all custom made from Rosewood timber tops and black Ash bases. Just two minutes away from Long Bay beach, step inside and you’ll find a surf club come New York cocktail lounge boasting expansive dining spaces, greenery and bohemian accents.

MR TOMS

WRW & Co The interior and spatial design brief was to turn the seemingly unlucky bar location, into a busy social hub to maximise its prime position, being one of the last parts of Ponsonby Rd to see the sun – perfect for afternoon drinks before progressing inside for an evening meal or drinks.

We worked closely with the client to design and reconfigure the space transforming it into a new indoor and outdoor experience. We also custom made 80% of the furniture which included banquet seating and cushions; bar tops; booth seating; shelving as well as the walls, lighting and interior colour scheme. This was all achieved on a limited budget through clever use of material selection and fabrications.

THE LITTLE BLACKWOOD

Located in Queenstown, this interior design project had a 6 week design phase and a 4 week build. We worked alongside the creative director Jason Whalley, by creating mood boards, sketches, tech drawings and samples to recreate our vision for the new space.

The walls of the previously dated interior were stripped and lined with reclaimed Rimu flooring, TG and V panelling, contrasted against the freshly painted Resene Cod Grey and Careera White panels. Butcher’s tiles and reclaimed Rimu flooring made up the fireplace and industrial lighting completed the overall aesthetic.

KAURI BAY BOOMROCK

KAURI BAY BOOMROCK

WRW & Co. can work to any scale – for Kauri Bay Boomrock, Clevedon’s latest luxury event and wedding venue, we designed and built over 20 solid Oak dining tables, which comprised of 20 tops, 40 trestle legs and 40 bench seats. Due to this high end client’s requirements, they needed to be durable and able to stand the test of time, not to mention handle the volume of parties to be had on them. So, the solid American Oak was the perfect material to sustain a high quality finish, whilst performing to standard.

ANDY’S BURGER BAR

WRW & Co. designed and custom built 39 tables and bar leaners to various sizes and designs for the new Skycity Burger Bar. We sourced reclaimed Oregon timber from an old warehouse in Hamilton for all of the timber tops and made the timber bases out of American Ash which were painted in a whitewash – Resene Careera White and a full Charcoal Blue. These were all designed and made in the WRW & Co. workshop in Raglan
